Go to a different pharmacy. Prescription price: nearly six times the Yale Health price. Zero customer service. No one cares. Period. I went here to fill a prescription because I have a CVS/Caremark prescription plan. I waited about 30 minutes for them just to identify me in their system. While I'm trying to work this out, the pharmacist has the nerve to call out my personal information for verification in front of another customer that's standing in front of her at the counter. HIPPA anyone? In the end I called Caremark directly, had them locate my account information and then call the pharmacy. After all this, they told me that the drug isn't covered, even though it's a generic, and that I would be paying about $215.00 for a 90 day supply. Fine. Then they tell me that it's not stocked on their shelves, yet. It's jumbled up with other medications in one of eight delivery bins. We're approaching a 60 minute wait time and I remind them of the noon appointment I had previously mentioned. I ask a floor employee to use the restroom, as it's been a long wait and I won't have a chance before my noon engagement. It's overflowing with garbage, has no toilette paper or paper towels and needs a cleaning. I return to the employee to relay this to him and, without even making eye contact, he says that he doesn't have time for that now. The whole time I've been in the store he's been plodding along, unhurriedly organizing shelves. He doesn't bother to stop what he's doing. Ten minutes to noon. I ask for my prescription back and leave, letting them know that I won't be returning--ever. Here's the kicker: my out of pocket prescription price at two pharmacies that are much closer to me? East Rock Pharmacy: about $95.00. Yale Health: about $38.00.
